Barium silicate is industrial grade with purity ≥99%, presenting as white odorless crystalline powder. It melts at 1604℃ and decomposes at high temperature without boiling, with negligible vapor pressure at 25℃ and relative density of 4.35 (20℃). It is water-insoluble, slightly soluble in hydrofluoric acid, and insoluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. Chemically stable under conventional conditions, it shall be stored away from hydrofluoric acid and other strong acids for incompatibility.
