Synthesized from nonylphenol and ethylene oxide, it is a pale yellow to brown viscous liquid with a characteristic odor. Boasting excellent detergency, wetting and emulsifying performance, it is widely used in detergents, pesticides, coatings, textiles and cosmetics.
